LSA Seeds

Lysergic acid amide (LSA/ergine) is an indole alkaloid produced in many plants, typically accumulating in the seeds. It can be extracted by soaking ground or crushed seeds in cold water to induce LSD-like inebriation. Our LSA seeds are currently based on Hawaiian baby woodrose and ololiuqui, the Aztec visionary intoxicant found in the seeds of the Christmas vine.

Trip-E

This herbal psychedelic from Happy Caps is based on Hawaiian Baby Woodrose (HBW) seeds (Argyreia nervosa), with a shot of cafeine for added buzz.

Kryptonite

Kryptonite may be hazardous for Superman, but for humans it is a 100% legal energy pill that will turn you into a steely hero of the dance-floor (or whatever playground you choose for rhythmic moves) for 4-7 hours. The unique composition of plant extracts and vitamins induces an “E”-like high, so don’t underestimate these pills and take no more than 1 per day. Content: 6 capsules.

Hawaiian Baby Woodrose

The classic ‘natural acid’ seed, used in ancient shamanic practices and by modern psychonauts alike. Reported to have LSD-like effects, but less intense and with fewer visuals. Modern interest was stimulated by a 1972 book claiming Hawaiians used the seeds for a ‘cheap high’.

Morning Glory (Ipomoea tricolor) 10 grams

The Morning Glory flower has a long history of being used as a powerful hallucinogenic. It contains the natural tryptamine Lysergic Acid Amide which has a similar affect as LSD. The mind-altering Morning Glory trip can last up to 10 hours so prepare accordingly. Since consuming Morning Glory usually causes an upset stomach it’s best not to eat several hours before you take it.

Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Madagascar (Argyreia nervosa) (10 seeds)

The classic “natural acid” used by shaman since ancient times! Due to popular demand, we’ve added this Madagascar variety of Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds, which is reportedly stronger than other varieties.

LSA Seeds: Chemistry, Effects, And Consumption

LSA is a psychoactive molecule found within multiple species of plant and fungus. The substance has been used for thousands of years in ritualistic settings.

T here is a pantheon of plants and molecules from the natural world that off e r users psychedelic experiences of varying strengths and characteristics. This group of substances, often referred to as entheogens, have been used by cultures for thousands of years, and are still used today to induce altered states of consciousness. Among this legion is LSA, also known as ergine or d-lysergic acid amide, a naturally occurring alkaloid of the Ergoline family found within several species of vine and fungus.

Use of this psychoactive substance has been recorded by several cultures throughout history, including Mexican Native Americans and Aztecs. Species containing LSA were also used as sacraments by certain groups of Zapotecs, the indigenous people of Mexico.

THE CHEMISTRY OF LSA

L SA is an organic alkaloid that belongs to the lysergamide class of molecules. The molecular structure involves a central lysergic acid alongside an amine functional group bound to Rₙ. The molecule is constructed from a bicyclic hexahydroidole bound to a bicyclic quinoline group. It is structurally similar to the well-known psychedelic LSD, minus the presence of the diethyl substitution of LSD at Rₙ of its carboxamide group.

THE EFFECTS OF LSA

L SA was first investigated for its effects on humans in 1947 when Albert Hofmann, the Swiss scientist who first synthesised LSD and psilocybin, tested it upon himself. Hofmann administered a 500 microgram dose via an intramuscular route and reported a tired and dreamy state with a lack of clear thoughts. The effects disappeared and baseline was achieved 5 hours after administration.

The effects of LSA are thought to be produced by the molecule’s agonist relationship with the 5-HT2A serotonin receptor. Studies on synthetic and isolated LSA have reported only minor psychedelic effects, suggesting that the compound only plays a small role in the psychoactivity of the plants and fungi it is found within.

Many anecdotal accounts report on the subjective effects of LSA and the plants that contain it, with some users comparing its effects to those of LSD. LSA is reported to have both sedating and stimulating effects on the body; the outcome may be largely dictated by set and setting. Taking the substance whilst out walking in nature could bring out its stimulating properties, whereas sitting indoors in a quiet and meditative environment may bring on its sedative qualities.

LSA has been reported to have quite powerful visual effects, yet slightly more tame than those experienced on LSD and psilocybin. Taking a high dose of LSA will enhance colours, visual acuity, and frame rate, and can cause visual distortions such as depth perception distortion, colour shifting, traces, and symmetrical texture repetition. As well as these lighter visual effects, large doses of LSA are known to induce full-on hallucinations that range from internal hallucinations involving interactive scenes to external hallucinations such as landscapes and entities.

Some of the cognitive effects of LSA include cognitive euphoria, ego death, anxiety, time distortion, and analysis enhancement.

SIDE EFFECTS OF LSA

T he toxicity of LSA has not been studied, however, there are no deaths associated directly with the pharmacological effects of the molecule — aside from intentional overdose. Users should thoroughly research the substance before ingestion due to possible interactions with medications and other drugs.

Large and frequent doses of LSA can induce vasoconstriction, or a narrowing of the blood vessels that pushes blood towards the core and away from the peripheries of the body. This can result in sensations of pain and discomfort in the legs due to inadequate blood flow.

Nausea and vomiting are also frequently associated with ingestion of LSA-containing seeds, most likely due to the presence of other alkaloids. Other side effects can include muscle spasms, headaches, dizziness, dehydration, muscle contractions and relaxations, increased heart rate, and loss of motor control.

LSA VS LSD

O ne of the main differences between LSA and LSD is that LSA is naturally occurring whereas LSD is a man-made molecule synthesised within laboratories. LSA and LSD are reported to have some psychoactive similarities, with LSA stated to be somewhat weaker. LSA is associated with a calmer experience with fewer visual hallucinations and increased nausea and vomiting. LSD is tied to increased visual hallucinations, enhanced energy, and a desire to wander and explore. LSD is also less likely to cause nausea and vomiting due to its isolated nature and lack of excess alkaloids upon ingestion.
