About this Hybrid Strain

The top-ranking sativa-dominant hybrid strain Chernobyl has a distinct lime-sherbet smell that tastes citrusy with some reviewers reporting a lemony aftertaste. Its buds are a light green when ready for harvest that can appear whitened with trichomes and covered in orange pistils.

Its THC content averages at 13-14% and can top off at 18%. Many describe its high as creating a strong euphoria mixed with an energetic boost, often eliminating negative thoughts and replacing them with a lovely contentment. It will cause the consumer to feel happy, creative, and relaxed, making it a perfect strain used anytime throughout the day – especially if pursuing hobbies or creative work. Negative side-effects include the normal dry mouth and eyes, but paranoia has definitely been known to strike the consumer if the strain is consumed improperly.

Chernobyl was ranked as one of the Top 10 Strains of 2010 by High Times for its unique and distinct properties.

Growers must prune Chernobyl regularly and each plant will need extra support once flowering begins.

History

It derives its name from the disaster that occurred in 1986 when the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Pripyat, Ukraine exploded and released radioactive particles – meaning this strain is highly potent in its high. Its parents are a female cross-breed of the hybrid Trainwreck and sativa Trinity with the male sativa Jack the Ripper.
